Here are some amazing high resolution footage
of the Sun.

The number of sunspots increases and decreases
in a regular cycle of approximately 11 years, when
it reverses polarity.

Although the Sun’s recent activity has been relatively
cool as it approaches the peak of this cycle, human
civilization has never been as reliant on the
technologies that can be affected by the geomagnetic
storms that result from the fluctuations of the
Sun.
